Vuelta a las aulas

En principio, está previsto que el próximo lunes 18 de enero podamos volver de nuevo a las aulas, a continuar con las clases presenciales.

En esta semana de atención educativa telemática en la que hemos intentado ir cogiendo poco a apoco el ritmo de trabajo que necesitamos en sexto de primaria tras las vacaciones de Navidad. 

Toca ahora retomar la rutina de este curso, tan diferente a las de otros años, por la incesante amenaza de la COVID-19.

Como recordaréis, os fuisteis llevando todos los libros y materiales del aula en varios días para dejar todo despejado y ante la posibilidad de que alguno (o todos en el peor de los casos) nos tuviéramos que quedar en casa algunos días.

Por esta razón, y como ya os anunciamos Gracia y yo en las reuniones ZOOM del miércoles 13, anotamos aquí los materiales que tiene que venir al centro el primer día y lo que podéis dejar en casa para y traer el segundo día.

First, we correct homework:


Today you are going to use your time to do two important Interactive worksheets (44 and 45):

  • IWS 44 is a short test on Irregular Verbs and  includes a table with sentences in negative, affirmative and interrogative forms.

  • IWS 45 is about adjectives ended in -ed or -ing

They are really easy. You are not going to be able to see the answers or scores and you can only do them twice.

Use the rest of the time to make sure you comeback to school on Monday with all your homework done.

Read pages 46, 47 again before doing the next activities.

Copy the questions for Activity 3  page 47, listen and answer them in your notebook.
 


Take the QUIZ. Write numbers 1 to 5 and answer the questions. PAUSE the audio after each question, so that you have time to write the answers.







Use the rest of the time to revise the unit and make sure you have done and corrected everything you need to bring on Monday. Check list below.

Today we are going to skip some pages about Grammar in the book (We will do them when we get back to school) and we do page 57 instead.

We are going to read a text about stop-motion animation.

Listen and read the text on page 57 (read it at least twice)


Think about the answers to activities 1, 3 and 4. You don't need to write, but it is important that you try to do it orally (to yourselves).

First we correct homework. 

Before starting a new chapter, we are going to have a look at a painting by Goya that represents the Family of Carlos IV, The Bourbon King we studied last  in fifth Grade (the end of the 18th century). Carlos IV was the king of Spain when the French Revolution took place in France in 1789. 


 Three characters in this painting played an important role in what we are learning in this chapter of the unit.

We open our book at pages 46, 47. There we can see another painting by Goya. The Third of May 1808.


 Before we read the chapter, let's have a look at these videos

Then we watch this video about the First Constitution:


Next, we read and listen to page 47



 
HOMEWORK

Read Pages 46 and 47 carefully and watch the videos again.

Today we are going to leave the Grammar Lesson about Reported Speech included in your book for when we get back to class.

 Instead, I am going to ask you to revise the irregular verbs. AGENDA pages 104-106.

Finally we watch this video that includes a timeline of the main events that took place in Spain during the 19th century. Don´t feel overwhelmed... We will only study them throughout the unit.
